CLAAS GPS Pilot
Connect the CLAAS GPS Pilot auto-steering system to RTKdata.com for centimeter-level RTK positioning. Newer CLAAS systems with the SAT 900 receiver (Trimble-based) support standard NTRIP connections and are not locked to CLAAS EASY — they accept RTCM 3.1 corrections from any provider, including RTKdata.com.
This guide applies to newer CLAAS systems with the SAT 900 receiver (Trimble-based). Older pre-Trimble CLAAS systems may be locked to proprietary correction services. If you have an older system, check with your CLAAS dealer to confirm third-party NTRIP compatibility.

Step-by-step setup
Verify RTK activation
On your CLAAS display (S7, S10, or CEMIS 1200), navigate to the GPS / GNSS settings.
Confirm that RTK is listed as an available correction mode.
If RTK is not available, contact your CLAAS dealer to activate RTK on the terminal.
RTK activation may be required as a separate step on the terminal. Without activation, the RTK NET correction mode will not appear in the settings.
Verify communication module and SIM card
Ensure the built-in communication module has a SIM card with an active cellular data plan installed.
Check the signal strength indicator on the display to confirm cellular connectivity.
The SAT 900's built-in communication module handles the NTRIP connection — no external modem is needed.
Enter RTKdata.com NTRIP settings
In the RTK NET configuration screen, enter the following settings:
Host (domain):
rtk.rtkdata.comHost (IP fallback):
13.56.117.10Port:
2101Username / Password: From RTK Credentials in the internal dashboard (not website login)
Mountpoint (ALL CAPS):

Mountpoint (ALL CAPS):
AUTO
Type AUTO manually in ALL CAPS. Do not browse the mountpoint list — enter the mountpoint name directly.
Connect and verify RTK status
Save the settings and initiate the connection.
Monitor the RTK status indicator on the display:
GPS only
Basic satellite fix. No corrections applied.
DGPS / Float
Correction data arriving and being processed.
RTK Fixed
Centimeter-level accuracy achieved. Ready for precision operations.
Convergence to RTK Fixed typically takes 30–90 seconds with clear sky visibility.
If RTK drops during operation, the SAT 900's RTK Bridging feature maintains approximately 15 cm accuracy for up to 20 minutes using the receiver's internal algorithms. This prevents guidance interruptions during brief connectivity outages.
RTK Bridging
The SAT 900 receiver includes RTK Bridging — a built-in backup mode that activates automatically when the RTK correction stream is interrupted. RTK Bridging maintains approximately 15 cm accuracy for up to 20 minutes, allowing you to continue field operations without stopping. When the NTRIP connection restores, the system seamlessly returns to full RTK accuracy.
Vertical reference (heights)
Heights from RTKdata.com are ellipsoidal. For agriculture applications, this is typically sufficient since auto-steer guidance uses horizontal positioning. If you need terrain-relative heights for drainage or leveling, apply a local geoid model in your farm management software.
Troubleshooting
RTK NET not available as correction mode
RTK not activated on terminal
Contact your CLAAS dealer to activate RTK on your display/terminal.
No internet connection
SIM card missing or no data plan
Verify the communication module has an active SIM card with a cellular data plan.
Connection fails
Wrong host or port
Double-check the host address for your region and confirm port is 2101.
Authentication error
Wrong credentials
Use the username and password from your RTKdata dashboard, not your website login. Credentials are case-sensitive.
Stuck on Float
Poor sky visibility
Move to an open area of the field, away from tree lines and buildings.
Stuck on Float
Weak cellular signal
Check signal strength on the display. Consider a location with better cellular coverage for initial setup.
Older system does not accept RTKdata
Pre-Trimble hardware
Older CLAAS systems without the SAT 900 may be locked to proprietary corrections. Check with your CLAAS dealer.
Tips
Not locked to CLAAS EASY. The SAT 900 receiver accepts RTCM 3.1 corrections from any standard NTRIP caster, including RTKdata.com.
RTK Bridging is your safety net. If you briefly lose cellular signal in the field, the 20-minute bridging window prevents guidance disruptions.
Cellular coverage is the most common challenge in agricultural environments. Verify signal strength at your field locations before the season starts.
One SIM card, one connection. The built-in communication module handles the NTRIP connection directly — no external modem or phone hotspot is needed.
Keep firmware updated. CLAAS periodically releases updates for the SAT 900 and display terminals. Check with your dealer for the latest versions.
S7 vs S10 vs CEMIS 1200: The NTRIP setup process is the same across all compatible displays. Menu paths may vary slightly between models.
