DJI Matrice 4 Enterprise RTK

Connect the DJI Matrice 4 Enterprise RTK (4E RTK or 4T RTK) to RTKdata.com for centimeter-level positioning. This guide also covers configuration for the DJI Dock 2 autonomous docking station.

Requirements

  • Aircraft: DJI Matrice 4 Enterprise RTK (4E RTK or 4T RTK) — the non-RTK variant does not support network corrections

  • Controller: DJI RC Plus or DJI RC Pro Enterprise

  • Software: DJI Pilot 2 — updated to the latest version with Matrice 4 series support

  • Firmware: Aircraft and controller firmware updated to the latest version

  • Internet: Phone Wi-Fi hotspot or USB 4G dongle connected to the controller

  • RTKdata account: Active subscription with NTRIP credentials

Step-by-step setup

1

Power on the Matrice 4 Enterprise RTK and the controller. Wait for the link to establish.

2

Connect to the internet

Connect the controller to the internet via Wi-Fi hotspot or 4G dongle. Verify connectivity by opening a browser.

3

Open DJI Pilot 2

Launch DJI Pilot 2 and enter the camera/flight view.

4

Open RTK settings

  • Tap the three dots (...) icon in the top-right corner of the screen

  • Select the RTK tab in the left sidebar of the settings panel

  • Toggle RTK Positioning to ON

5

Select Custom Network RTK

Under "RTK Service Type", select Custom Network RTK.

6

Enter NTRIP connection settings

Select your region and enter the corresponding server details:

  • Host (domain): rtk.rtkdata.com

  • Host (IP fallback): 13.56.117.10

  • Port: 2101

  • Username / Password: From RTK Credentials in the internal dashboard (not website login)

  • Mountpoint (ALL CAPS): AUTO (recommended) — or AUTO_WGS84, AUTO_ITRF2020, AUTO_ITRF2014

Connect and verify

  • Tap Connect to save and initiate the connection

  • Move outdoors to an open area with clear sky view — the Matrice 4 needs a satellite fix before it sends position data to the NTRIP server

  • Monitor the RTK status indicator in DJI Pilot 2:

Status
Color
Meaning
Typical Duration

SINGLE

Red

Basic GNSS fix acquired. No corrections yet.

Immediate

FLOAT

Yellow

Correction data is being received and processed.

10–30 seconds

FIX

Green

Centimeter-level accuracy achieved. Std dev below 2 cm.

30–60 seconds

The Matrice 4's improved multi-frequency GNSS antenna converges noticeably faster than older DJI enterprise platforms.

circle-info

For autonomous mapping flights, wait until you see FIX status before launching the mission. This ensures all geotagged photos have centimeter-level accuracy from the start.

DJI Dock 2 configuration

The Matrice 4 Enterprise RTK is compatible with the DJI Dock 2 for fully autonomous remote operations.

1

Open FlightHub 2

Configure the NTRIP settings in DJI FlightHub 2 (cloud platform), not in DJI Pilot 2.

2

Open the dock's RTK configuration panel in FlightHub 2.

3

Enter RTKdata.com credentials

Enter the same RTKdata.com credentials and server settings listed in the tabs above.

4

Verify connectivity

The Dock 2 uses its own built-in internet connection (Ethernet or 4G), so the controller's connectivity is not relevant for remote missions.

circle-info

Dock-based operations require the Dock 2 to have a reliable internet connection at all times. Contact RTKdata.com support if you need assistance configuring NTRIP with DJI Dock 2 and FlightHub 2.

Vertical reference (heights)

circle-info

RTK corrections deliver ellipsoidal heights (height above the WGS 84 ellipsoid), not orthometric heights (height above mean sea level). If your workflow requires orthometric heights, apply a geoid model in your post-processing software.

Non-RTK model

Verify your Matrice 4 is the RTK variant. The standard model does not show RTK settings.

Outdated Pilot 2

Update DJI Pilot 2. Early releases may not fully support the Matrice 4 series.

Out of range

Verify your RTKdata subscription is active and you are within 50 km of a base station.

Connection fails immediately

Wrong port

Confirm the port is 2101 (not 2102, 8080, or other defaults from other services).

Connection fails immediately

Wrong credentials

Verify credentials are from the RTKdata dashboard, not your website login.

Corrections drop mid-flight

Unstable internet

A USB 4G dongle provides more reliable connectivity than a phone hotspot, especially at altitude.

Tips

  • Firmware updates are critical. As a 2025 platform, DJI is actively releasing firmware improvements. Always run the latest version for best RTK performance and stability.

  • Faster convergence. The Matrice 4 has a larger multi-frequency RTK antenna than the Mavic 3 Enterprise, resulting in faster convergence and better multipath rejection near buildings.

  • For photogrammetry workflows, keep RTK enabled for the entire flight rather than just during takeoff. This ensures every photo is geotagged with corrected coordinates.

  • Pre-flight checklist: Power on, wait for satellite lock, verify FIX status, then start your mission. Skipping FIX verification is the most common source of inaccurate survey data.

  • After a battery swap, allow 30–60 seconds for RTK to re-converge before resuming the mission.

  • Dual controller support. If using two RC Plus controllers, only the master controller needs internet for RTK. The slave controller does not handle RTK connectivity.
