Managing Customers in the Reseller Hub

Create, edit, archive and delete customer records in the RTKdata Reseller Hub, see each customer's licenses, trials, usage and invoice lines, and export the list as CSV.

A customer record is the container everything else hangs off. Licenses, trials, billed charges and usage all belong to a customer, and a license is permanently bound to the customer it was provisioned for.

The customer list

Creating a customer

Use Add Customer on the Customers page, or the same action from the dashboard.

The Add Customer dialog
Field
Required
Notes

Name

Yes

The company or person you are selling to

Email (optional)

No

Needed to send credentials or a login link. Must be unique among your active customers

Reference

No

Your own customer number, so the portal lines up with your ERP or CRM

Confirm with Create customer. Licenses are not created here: you add them afterwards from the customer's own detail page, or with Add License on the Licenses page or the dashboard, where you can also create the customer inline.

About the email field: without an email address you cannot send this customer their credentials or a portal login link. You can still open every license and read or copy the connection details yourself, then pass them on however you like. Customers without an email show No email in the Login column.

The customer list

Four tiles sit at the top: Customers, Active Licenses, Active Trials and Billing Issues. Below them, the list is sortable and searchable by name, email or reference, with Billing and Login filters.

Column
What it shows

Name

Opens the customer detail page

Reference

Your own reference number, if you set one

Email

Where credentials and login links go

Licenses

How many licenses this customer has

Active

How many of them are active paid licenses

Billing

OK, or the number of issues. An issue is a suspended or expired license

Status

Archived for archived customers, empty otherwise

No email, Not invited, Invited or Active, depending on whether a portal login link was sent and used

Next Renewal

The next renewal date across the customer's active licenses

The row actions offer Start trial, Add license, Send login link and Archive. Tick several rows to send login links to all of them at once. Expanding a row with the arrow shows the customer's Licenses, Trials & Demo and Invoices without leaving the list.

Active and Archived switch between current and archived customers. Export CSV downloads every customer, regardless of the current filter.

The customer detail page

A customer detail page

Everything about one customer in one place:

  • Customer Information - name, reference, email, creation date, licenses, billing state, status, next renewal, and whether they have portal access (Login)

  • Usage - Connected now, Last seen, Auth failures (30d) and GGA received (30d) across the customer's licenses

  • Invoices and Trials counters, each drilling through to the detail

  • Licenses table - every license for this customer, with actions such as Renew, Upgrade, Send Creds and Suspend directly on the row

  • Trials table - running and past trials, with Convert and Extension Request

  • Invoices table - every billed charge for this customer's licenses

Actions in the header

Action
What it does

Edit

Change name, email or reference

Archive

Take the customer out of the active list without deleting history. Only possible once none of their licenses is active. An archived customer gets no new licenses, and Unarchive brings them back

Delete

Remove the customer record for good. Only possible for an archived customer with no licenses at all

Start trial

Begin a free trial of 7, 14 or 30 days, see Trials

Add license

Provision a paid license, see Licenses & Provisioning

Send login link

Email this customer a magic link to their own portal view

After a login link is sent, the button waits a few minutes before it can send again.

Usage signals worth watching

Two fields on the customer record explain most support calls before they happen:

  • Auth failures (30d) - a rising count usually means the credentials were mistyped or the wrong ones were entered in the device. See Common Connection Issues.

  • GGA received (30d) - how many of the customer's licenses sent their position. If one did not, the caster cannot pick a correction stream for it. See NTRIP & GGA Essentials.

Data privacy

Your customer records stay inside your account. RTKdata accesses them only to operate and support your account, never outside that context, and no other reseller can see them.
