# Reseller Hub Sign In & First Steps

Sign in to the RTKdata Reseller Hub, take the first login tour, and find your way around the sidebar, search, notifications and your profile.

This page covers getting into the portal for the first time and finding your way around it.

***

## Getting an account

Reseller accounts are created by RTKdata, not by self-signup. You receive an **invitation email** with a link that lets you set your password and sign in. The invitation is tied to your email address and to your reseller account, and the link is valid for 7 days. If it has expired, ask <support@rtkdata.com> for a new one.

If colleagues at your company need their own login to the same account, ask RTKdata support to invite them.

## Signing in

![The Reseller Hub sign in page](https://3957820804-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJflLSSoC9TU9MkwT5lbC%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-e0b0b93e976068a2dbd0df390f9dd6cbefffb005%2Freseller-hub-login.png?alt=media)

Sign in with the **Email** and **Password** you set from your invitation. Leave **Stay signed in** ticked to keep the session on this device. If you have turned on two-factor authentication, a second step asks for the **Authentication code** from your authenticator app.

Forgotten your password? Use **Forgot password?** on the same card. The reset link is emailed to you, works once, and is valid for 30 minutes.

> **Note:** your Reseller Hub login is not the same thing as an NTRIP credential. NTRIP usernames and passwords belong to your customers' licenses and are never used to sign in here. See [Account & NTRIP Credentials](/get-started/account-and-credentials.md) for the same distinction on the end user side.

## The first login tour

The first time you sign in, a short tour introduces the portal step by step. It takes about a minute.

![The first login tour](https://3957820804-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJflLSSoC9TU9MkwT5lbC%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-efdafdbadbadf00d397eb91144e8c8a6fe1acf19%2Freseller-hub-onboarding-tour.png?alt=media)

You can skip it at any point without losing anything, and you can replay it later from the **Help** menu in the top bar via **Take the tour**.

## How the portal is laid out

**Sidebar (left).** Every area of the portal:

* **Dashboard** - your KPIs and quick actions
* **Customers** - customer records and their licenses
* **Licenses** - every license you have provisioned, plus **Diagnostics**
* **Billing** - your monthly bills
* **Usage** - consumption, plus **Live Map** and **Activity**
* **API** - the [API](/reseller-hub/api.md) area, plus its **Docs**. The API area only works once RTKdata has enabled the API for your account

At the bottom of the sidebar, **Documentation** opens these docs, and your account menu opens **Profile**, **Notifications** and **Log out**.

**Top bar.** Search in the middle, the rest on the right:

| Control                   | What it does                                                                                                                                         |
| ------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

## Notifications

![The notifications inbox](https://3957820804-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJflLSSoC9TU9MkwT5lbC%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-bfd84990f0a38ef1caea68232d3c39f9fdbb93f6%2Freseller-hub-notifications.png?alt=media)

The bell in the top bar carries anything that needs your attention, for example:

* a trial that started, is about to expire, or has expired
* a new sale confirmed, a renewal confirmed, or a renewal coming up
* a bill issued, a bill due soon, or a bill overdue, and the payment reminders that follow
* the decision on a request you raised, such as a trial extension

The full inbox groups them into **Today**, **Yesterday**, **This week** and **Older**. **Unread only** filters to what you have not read yet, and **Mark all read** clears the lot. Which notifications you receive, and whether they also come by email, is set in **Profile > Notifications**.

***

## Your profile

![The profile page](https://3957820804-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJflLSSoC9TU9MkwT5lbC%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-e0d26014d166a2c595fb53573cd98fd9330df41f%2Freseller-hub-profile.png?alt=media)

**Profile** has four tabs:

| Tab               | What it holds                                                                                                                                      |
| ----------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Info** | Your company name, contact, email, phone and address. Changes go to RTKdata for review via **Submit for review** |
| **Security** | Change your password, **Enable 2FA**, and sign out of all devices |
| **Notifications** | Per notification type, whether it reaches you in the portal, by email, or both, the address emails go to, and how often you get an activity digest |
| **Customizing** | Theme and accent color, date, time and number formats, your start page, navigation mode and sidebar favorites, and saved table layouts |

## On a phone or tablet

Every view in the portal is usable on a small screen. Cards stack into a single column, tables scroll sideways, and the sidebar collapses behind the menu button.

![The dashboard at phone width](https://3957820804-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FJflLSSoC9TU9MkwT5lbC%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-08ced23f77e8ba707ccb19b597f3e7d4cfd33f72%2Freseller-hub-dashboard-mobile.png?alt=media)

This matters in practice: provisioning a license from a customer site, or reading a rover's fix rate while the customer is still on the phone, both work from a handset.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.rtkdata.com/reseller-hub/getting-started.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
