DJI Mavic 3E - How to Use RTKdata.com in DJI Pilot 2

DJI Mavic 3E drone using Pilot 2 Custom Network RTK with RTKdata.com

Achieve centimeter‑level accuracy on your DJI Mavic 3E by streaming RTK corrections from RTKdata via NTRIP in DJI Pilot 2. This step‑by‑step guide shows the exact fields to fill, how to verify RTK: FIX, and how to troubleshoot quickly.

Requirements

  • DJI Mavic 3E with RTK module installed

  • DJI RC Pro Enterprise running DJI Pilot 2, with internet (Wi‑Fi / hotspot / LTE)

  • RTKdata.com account with credentials

Step‑by‑step NTRIP setup in DJI Pilot 2

1

Bring the controller online

Connect the controller to the internet via Wi‑Fi or phone hotspot/LTE.

2

Open RTK settings

Pilot 2 → Camera view… (top‑right)RTK → enable RTK Positioning → choose Custom Network RTK.

3

Enter RTKdata.com connection settings (Regional hostnames + IP fallback)

Use the regional RTKdata.com hostname where possible. If your device only accepts numbers or your network DNS blocks hostnames, use the numeric IP fallback. Keep ALL CAPS where noted.

  • Host (domain): rtk.rtkdata.com

  • Host (IP fallback): 13.56.117.10

  • Port: 2101

  • Username / Password: From RTK Credentials in the internal dashboard (not website login)

  • Mountpoint (ALL CAPS): AUTO (recommended) — or AUTO_WGS84, AUTO_ITRF2020, AUTO_ITRF2014

4

Verify RTK status (FIX)

Go outdoors with a clear sky view. Confirm:

  • RTCM data is incoming (connection/server status), and

  • RTK status changes from FLOATRTK: FIX.

If you remain on FLOAT: ensure open sky, recheck IP/Port & credentials, and set mountpoint to AUTO.

Tip (critical for DJI): Start Custom Network RTK → Start Transmitting only after the aircraft has a normal GNSS fix outdoors. If you start too early, the session opens but GGA stays at 0 and no corrections flow.

Vertical reference (heights)

RTKdata.com delivers positions in the selected geodetic frame. Heights are ellipsoidal by design. If you need orthometric (mean sea level) elevations, enable a geoid on your rover/controller (if supported) or apply a geoid in your GIS/photogrammetry workflow during processing/export.

Troubleshooting

  • Not connected / no RTCM: Re‑enter IP + Port 2101, verify username/password, and ensure mountpoint = ALL CAPS (e.g., AUTO).

  • Stuck on FLOAT: Move to open sky, shorten the baseline if possible, and use AUTO.

  • Can’t find the menu: Confirm the RTK module is installed and the drone/controller were restarted.

Why RTKdata.com?

  • Centimeter‑level real‑time accuracy

  • < 1 s latency for responsive field work

  • Global reach, dense coverage in key regions

  • Simple IP‑only setup that works across popular field apps and receivers
